The HMDO or “Heartworm Medicine for Dogs Organisation” was founded by myself, Gillian Andrew and my two kids, Jean and Leandra in 2009.
It was founded out of our desire to bring attention to the importance of fighting Heartworm in dogs, a parasite that affects too many unfortunate dogs and puppies, causing them cough, get easily exhausted, lose weight, and in more unfortunate cases, blindness, seizures and heart failures.
